Today is your day...

Hey, Today is your day You've got things to do; places to go Because yesterday's gone and tomorrow's far away But today, you'll take that road the one that excites you You'll take it, if there is not one; you'll make it Today you'll abandon all reasons and explore the unknown You'll write your own story and watch it unfold  You'll speak a new language and hear it echo Today, you'll make conversations with the wind  And find silence in the mountains You'll dance with the earth and course through trails You'll count stars and be outnumbered by clouds  Today you'll be a giant  You'll be a million wildebeests on a rampage You'll hear your heartbeat like a drum And feel your breath in an instant Today you'll find strength and yet be humbled Today you won't just live, You'll come alive..!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7YeWc6cV1E Courtesy: Wildcraft India Shared by Sachin

Dr. Abdul Kalam's Letter to Every Indian

Why is the media here so negative?  Why are we in India so embarrassed to recognize our own strengths, our achievements?  We are such a great nation. We have so many amazing success stories but we refuse to acknowledge them. Why?  We are the first in milk production. We are number one in Remote sensing satellites. We are the second largest producer of wheat. We are the second largest producer of rice. Look at Dr. Sudarshan , he has transferred the tribal village into a self-sustaining, self-driving unit.. There are millions of such achievements but our media is only obsessed in the bad news and failures and disasters.  I was in Tel Aviv once and I was reading the Israeli newspaper. It was the day after a lot of attacks and bombardments and deaths had taken place. The Hamas had struck. But the front page of the newspaper had the picture of a Jewish gentleman who in five years had transformed his desert into an orchid and a granary. It was this inspiring picture that everyone wok

A full black out night exploring sky..

I was about to off to bed after watching IPL game between Royal Challengers and Kings XI, as I support RCB it was not less than a nightmare and suddenly electricity went... Agghhh so I decided to go up on terrace and have some cool air, I did my bed with mat and a pillow on floor and laid down watching towards sky. It was half-moon bright in the western southern sky, possibly a ninth day towards Full Moon. Countless stars were twinkling some were faded by moonlight and the others who were in opposite direction displaying their brightness with full dignity. I was just watching and there were millions of thoughts scrolling in my mind like these stars, I just stargazed and thought don’t know what and I even didn’t remember when I fell asleep. It was about 4 in the morning, I felt need of water so I rushed down to get a bottle, no electricity till now so I went back to terrace and laid down again and started my job of overnight.. Stargazing. Now it’s completely dark and clean sky as

Winning is not everything, It is the only thing !!

Image
Winning is the word we listen daily, think and plan about it, our fast running life revolves around this word; everyone here and there is running in some competitions or preparing to do so; everyone wants to win but what actually the meaning of word ‘winning’ is and where lies it’s worth? Winning is totally subjective thing and it differs person to person as it might be very crucial to win a race for an athlete while it meant to be life for someone to save his love or clearing his exams. 'Winning to me is not to stop trying.' “Most people give up just when they are about to win, they quit on one yard line. They give up at the last minute of the game one foot from a winning touchdown.”   ~ Ross Perot   Ingredients for recipe named “Winning”  As we all know what winning takes: discipline, self confidence, strong will power, talent and lots of hard work but there are some other ingredients which will affect the results and enhance the probability of winning.  1) De

Nokia IndiBlogger meet: Your Wish My App Season 2

Image
I was so excited to attend the event as soon as I registered for this one; this was my second bloggers meet and first to a kind of technology based. I was expecting a super fun evening with lots of innovation and it came with none less than what I expected. The show began with an introductory presentation which illustrates what Indians are actually capable of, wonderful app ideas and Nokia making them into reality. Thoughts turning into reality?   As an engineering student with computer science, I thought most of the ideas will be only about system navigation, application interface and social networking blah blah blah, but the ideas proved me wrong. As the name suggests “Your Wish My App” whatever comes to your mind or whatever you need will be converted into reality. Nokia representatives described the importance of innovative thoughts of Indians and what could we achieve together. I was just shocked by the responsive success of “Your Wish My App Season-1” held at Ba

I Hate Number Two

Number 2 or position second only means compromise and compromising is the thing that doesn’t suit virtue. According to our so called ethical value system, our main purpose should be of performing, not where we will reach (as also called we should only believe in our karma). Yet it is a kind of way how one should be satisfied with his status after knowing that someone has went past ahead of him. But truth lies somewhere else, it brings a feeling of compromise in the competitor and he starts losing his focus. As filmed in movie “3 Idiots”, it is true that most of people don’t remember the person who stepped second on moon or the person who is commanding the Apollo mission and only revolved around the moon, did not land on moon. According to them, they did their job at best that time; but on a larger scale of time, people only remember Neil Armstrong because he was the first one. Yet it is called so unrealistic if I would say that everyone should approach for the number 1 as everyo

Taste of Failure

Quite boring topic, isn't it? Well for me, sure… Then what the urge to write about failure, hmm don't know exactly but I am feeling a bit low today and I want to scribble something and the thing strike this devil mind is "The taste of failure"  Why failure has a taste though, why it is not just come and go, why it has to be dilute into the nerves of person; but no its the superpower of failure that it will not leave you so soon, it will make you feel low, feel guilt and moreover it will mark a question on you and your esteem and what you can do that moment, just go straight along the path not knowing where. How does it feel when you have left behind by miles when other drifted apart; how does it all take to face that person who suggested you earlier and now if you face them, they feel it is their mandatory right to lecture you about their future vision and your responsibilities; how does it seems hard to tell your parents that you are faile

Yesterday I completed latest novel "The One You Cannot Have" by +Preeti Shenoy  , yet I ordered it a little bit late but I was lucky enough to have author signed copy; I completed the whole in three or four sittings only despite having a busy schedule. This book have something which revolves around feeling engaged with urgh to having one again in your life which you cannot have.  This is story of Aman and Shruti, once they were madly in love with each other, they meant the whole world to each other, yet their life goes on different paths, yet after two years they find the pain in their heart of not having with one another. Shruti was married to Rishabh according to the will of her parents, who is a nice guy; circumstances changes and they both find their marriage at the verge of an end. On other hand, Aman engaged himself into excessive workload trying to forget Shruti, yet he is not capable of that; returned to India and met Anjali who make him laugh once again

(Sachin)
